I thought I was a damsel in distress. I was stuck in waiting for someone to come, something to happen while in chaos. Maybe sometimes we feel like being helpless is the only option to look forward to. Probably there are those who have failed in life and believe that the best thing to do is run away. Some have broken hearts with so many shattered pieces. Some feel unworthy of hope, happiness, and love. Or, they finally gave up on it.

For those who have placed their faith in God, you may have given up thinking His silence is the end of the road. Others, use hopelessness to not even believe in God thus hate and reject Him.

However, the God I worship and love says He will be a mighty fortress for those who place their trust in Him. Sometimes, silence is when our faith in Him is being tested the most. Our choice whether to give up or obey and trust in Him more will show where we stand in terms of our love and devotion to Him.

Beloved, God gave up His Son for my sins and your sins, do you think He will with hold the blessings and perfect plan in store for you? Always remember, for those who seek righteousness and His kingdom will inherit a greater reward in heaven: the Lord Jesus Christ and eternity with our God. Don’t look at what’s here on this Earth but look beyond that, look at eternity in mind because we are only sojourners passing by.

Our plan may not always be the plan He has made for us. It may not make sense and most of the time, it won’t. But, it’s a matter of trusting that God knows better and He HAS something better. Find healing in His grace, find forgiveness and freedom in the cross, and find wisdom and peace through the Holy Spirit.

Just like water lilies, we will bloom through the mud, in due time by God’s grace and unchangeable love. We may fail many times in declaring and showing our love to the Lord however His love has never changed for us, not even an inch. Can you pause for a moment and really let that sink in? God’s love has never changed despite our shortcomings and failings. With this in mind, run as fast as you can back to the cross because He is eager to restore the first love we have ignored. So, seek righteousness and holiness in Christ because we are not bound to the chains of sin anymore but we are free in his abounding grace over our sin.
